Use Specialist Painters For Special Jobs

When we say professional painter, we mean a lot of different types of painters and decorators. Thus, while you might know that you need a professional painter, you might be confused with exactly whom you want. We will try to throw some light on that in this blog so that you can choose the best one for your particular purpose.

You can find these painters listed in the local yellow pages. Internet is another medium where you can find the commercial painters and decorators in London or wherever you live.

Specialist coating painter is one such type. Specialist coating can be anything from a machine enamel to rubberised floor paint or graffiti removal coatings. These painters would often wear special gears like a breathing mask or gloves, safety glasses, apparatus or full covering suit so that nothing untoward happens during the painting.

Fire coating painters are another special type and they would apply fire resistant coating. The most popular fire retardant is the nullifier paint. These coatings are made to withstand a very high temperature for a long duration which means anything carrying these coatings would resist the fire for a long time. These paints are to be of a certain thickness. After it has been applied, the paint must be checked for the correct thickness. If not, the paint might fail its purpose and it might fail to protect the item on which it has been applied.

Repainting Your Home Like A Pro!

For one reason or another, we will all, at least once in our lives, need to paint one or more rooms of our house. And for some of us (this is the experience talking!) we have no idea how to do it properly, and how to avoid irreversible errors when painting. You can always go for house painter in London but it will not be as satisfying as getting your hands dirty to do the job!

Thoroughly clean walls to keep paint tight - If you paint on dirty surfaces, oil, etc. The paint will peel away when dry. Therefore, remove dust, dirt and grease stains, with water, some mild dishwashing liquid and a sponge. Rinse with clean water to remove soap residue.

List the equipment to be purchased - Make a list before going to buy all the material, this will save you a lot of time in the store. Of course, when buying, do not skimp on the costs, the cheapest paint will certainly save you money, but you might well spoil your beautiful work with a mediocre finish.
Some things to keep in mind when developing your list: cleaning products, paint, adhesive tape, rolls, brushes, ladder, floor protection and furniture protection, 5 litre buckets etc.

Mix several paint pots in a large bucket to obtain a uniform colour - The colour of the paint may vary slightly from one pot to another. Therefore, if you find yourself without paint in the middle of a half-painted wall, and you start another pot, the difference in hue could be noticeable. To avoid this, mix in a large bucket of 5 litres for example, 2 pots of 2 litres of paint.

Don't Employ Unlicensed Professional Painters

When you open a business and you want to impress the employees and more importantly, the clients, your office space is the first consideration. It gives those people an idea of how it is going to be to work with and for you. Inviting a probable client to an office space where the paint on the wall is spotty and paint on the door is peeling off would be the first wrong step. Most business owners are concerned only about keeping the clients happy with excellent services and products but they pay little or no attention to making the office space a fresh and modern facility. However, if you are one of those owners who realise the importance of a presentable office and you decide to give a facelift to your office, it’s important to know how you would choose the perfect commercial paint sprayer.

While you are getting ready to find the most eligible painter for your office paint job, you need to have a look at their license. If you are wondering how to choose the right professional painter, you need to know that anyone can buy a few paints and a ladder and take out a lorry and call themselves professional painting contractors. However, these people are not legally allowed to work as painters. You can’t employ those because they are not covered against any mishap at work and you are not covered when you incur a loss as they are not permitted to work as painters. Please stick to licensed professional painters only when you want your office to get a fresh look.

How To Find The Exact Colour For Your Exterior

Choosing the exterior paint is as important as choosing the inside paint for your house. The exterior paint is priced equally and you can choose from the same range of colours as well. It is equally easy to apply the exterior paint but generally these paints are more durable. However, you need to consider a few things before you select exterior paint.

As a painter and decorator in North London, we use both oil based and latex based paints for exterior painting. However, the DIY enthusiasts would find it easier to use the latex paints. Latex paints are water based but these paints are tough enough to withstand the harsh weather elements. Oil based paints are harder to apply but they provide much higher quality finish. The colours are more vibrant, they have more depth and the overall finish is way more professional. If you are not sure how to apply oil based paints while you want to enjoy the advantages, you should look for a professional painter or you should compromise and use latex paints.

Selecting the ideal paint is not easy. However, there is one thumb rule which you can follow to choose the most appropriate colour.

If you want to apply the paint on wood directly, you should use oil based paints. Oil based paints work better on wood as they stick to wood better.  The latex paint would peel off from the surface and the finish will be awful.
